No one recovers from a brain injury alone. Fortunately, we live in an age where the number of brain injury resources increases daily.

  • Brain Injury Caregiver Support Group - Their mission is to provide an effective forum for the exchange of ideas and  peer-to-peer support that is tailored to meet the special needs of caregivers to the moderate-to-severely brain injured.
  • Brain Injury Association of America - Strives to advance awareness, research, treatment, and education and to improve the quality of life for all people affected by brain injury.
  • United States Brain Injury Alliance - The mission of the United States Brain Injury Alliance is to engage the community in preventing brain injury and improving lives.
  • Brainline.org - BrainLine is a national multimedia project offering information and resources about preventing, treating, and living with TBI. BrainLine includes a series of webcasts, an electronic newsletter, and an extensive outreach campaign in partnership with national organizations concerned about traumatic brain injury.
  • Family Caregiver Alliance - Provides information about the helpful resources available to families caring for a loved one with a brain injury
  • National Stroke Association - The National Stroke Association was founded in 1984 as the only national association devoted 100% to support stroke rehabilitation and prevention efforts.
  • Traumatic Brain Injury Survival Guide - Clinical neuropsychologist Dr. Glen Johnson's Traumatic Brain Injury Survival Guide was written to explain head injuries in clear, easy to understand language for patients of head injuries. 
  • How Counseling Can Help After a Concussion - A mental health counselor can be an important resource during concussion recovery. 
  • Brain Injury Waikato Organisation, New Zealand -  Brain Injury Waikato is a charitable organisation working to empower and advocate for people of all ages and their whānau to navigate the effects of a brain injury.

The site also provides online training on numerous topics such as sports concussion, law enforcement, classroom strategies or customized training can be requested to meet an organizationā€™s needs.

Restart Your Life - A non-profit organization that raises funds to be distributed to those deemed eligible for assistance moving forward with resources, education, advocacy, and opportunities to attend a "Once in a Lifetime" event after TBI. 

Minnesota
Minnesota Brain Injury Force, Inc. (MNBIF) - Provides Programs and Services for Brain Injury Survivors and their Families

Washington
Brain Energy Support Team - The Brain Energy Support Team is a 501c3 nonprofit organization founded in 2008. BEST provides PEER support and education.
